Whatever I Do

May my words fall as a gentle rain,
Soothing the sorrow and easing the pain
Of those in lonely desert places.
Whatever I say to these, has also been said to me.

So, may my arms reach like the incoming tide,
Lifting those left high and dry
And rocking gently to a sea lullaby,
For whatever I do to these, has also been done to me.

And all have dragged a cross towards Calvary;
All have nailed a nail into that tree
And all that I say to these, has also been said to me.

So, may my words fall as a gentle rain,
Soothing the sorrow and easing the pain
Of those in lonely desert places.
Whatever I say to these, has also been said to me.

Christ has carried our cross to Calvary;
Christ has taken each nail, nailed to that tree
And Christ has said, “Whatsoever you do
To the least of My brothers, that, you do unto Me.”

So, may my arms reach like the incoming tide,
Lifting those left high and dry
And rocking gently to a sea lullaby,
For whatever I do to these, has also been done to me.

And Christ has carried my cross to Calvary;
Christ has taken each nail, nailed to that tree
And Christ has said whatsoever I do
To the least of my brothers, that, I do unto Him.

May I lighten the load on the road to Calvary,
Draw out a nail, nailed into that tree,
And whatever I do to the least of my brothers,
That, may I do unto Thee.

That, may I do unto Thee.

  1. Does this have music? It really ought to, if it doesn't.
    It's lovely.

  2. All my songs have music. They just need some musicians.
